We have the privilege of working with some amazing individuals from all over the world who help in data collection, coding, and analysis, consulting on specific topics in the equine field, and partnering on educational and outreach content. This page is dedicated to them and the hard work they do to make this possible

Research Associates at Equine International are experienced scholars who hold at least a master’s degree (MSc or equivalent) and have demonstrated competency in research design, data collection, behavioral coding, analysis, and scholarly writing. These individuals serve as independent researchers whose qualifications have been reviewed and approved by the Principal Investigators at Equine International.
Research Associates work in close collaboration with and under the supervision of our Principal Investigators while serving as project leads on designated research initiatives. In this role, they develop and propose research projects, coordinate and oversee data collection efforts, and ensure methodological and ethical alignment with Equine International’s standards. They also supervise teams of research assistants who support data collection, behavioral coding, and manuscript preparation.
In addition, Research Associates act as key points of contact for participating centers, partner organizations, and local collaborators, helping to facilitate smooth communication, logistical coordination, and adherence to research protocols across all project sites.
