Equine International partners with a number of organizations to conduct meaningful research, develop rich educational experiences, and create new opportunities for more people to get involved in different aspects of equine well-being and equine-human interactions. Below you'll find a list of the amazing organizations with whom we partner as well as some of the incredible work they do outside of our partnership.
Autumn Kushner is an equine behavior specialist, educator, and judge with over fifteen years of experience spanning dressage, competitive jumping, and trail sports. Guided by kindness, science, compassion, and consent, her teaching and training emphasize connection over control and reject the use of force. She holds a Master’s in Equine Behavior and integrates evidence-based welfare practices into every aspect of her work. Based in the Pacific Northwest, she serves as a schooling show dressage judge and trail sports judge dedicated to advancing ethical and welfare-focused standards in competition. Autumn is the founder and executive director of the Equine Museum of Science and Art (EMSA) — a start up aimed at bringing an online and brick-and-mortar museum to life, and devoted to deepening public understanding of the horse through immersive, multidisciplinary learning experiences built on care, science, and love. Through her unconventional teaching and training business, Autumn Equine, she helps humans and horses build mutual trust, emotional balance, and awareness through consent-based, science-informed, and compassion-driven interaction. At the heart of everything she does is a love for the horse and a desire to connect horses and horse lovers in meaningful, respectful partnership.
